MALVERN musicians seeking a platform for their talent can now apply to become one of Crowngate Shopping Centre’s official buskers.

Crowngate is inviting new and seasoned street musicians from around the area to apply now for the chance to showcase their performance skills at any of the five ‘Busk Stops’ which will be located around Crowngate Shopping Centre from mid-September.

Buskers granted the official Crowngate performance passes will be allowed to play for set time frames throughout the day, at different Busk Stops, located in both Friary Walk by Superdrug and in the Bus Station and Chapel Walk in Crowngate Kitchen, by Primark and the entrance to Unicorn Walk.

Erica Burlace, Crowngate centre manager, said: “There is so much musical talent of this type around Worcestershire and we would love to receive applications to use our Busk Stops.

“In particular, we are encouraging acoustic acts as the Busk Stop locations will really suit and showcase this particular musical style.

“Big names such as Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart and Justin Bieber all started their careers by busking, so who knows where it could lead.”

Anyone interested in applying to perform is asked to email a video or audio clips to [email protected]
