A NURSE from Malvern and her colleague will take part in a daring skydive to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice.
Clementine Stott and Suzy Parker, who both work as specialist cancer nurses at the Worcestershire Royal and are good friends, opted to do the challenge after seeing how their patients benefited from the hospice.
The pair will plunge 10,000ft during their parachute jump on September 1.
They have set themselves a fund-raising target of £1,000 and already had £450 on the board as the Observer went to press yesterday.
Clementine said: “We’ve always talked about doing something for the hospice, as it plays such a big part in the lives of so many of our patients.
“I heard that St Richard’s wanted people to do a sponsored skydive in their name and I knew at once that Suzy and I had to go for it.
“We’re partners in crime, both a bit crazy and I don’t think any colleagues or patients who know us will be surprised that we’ve decided to do this.
“We’re not feeling too nervous just yet, but as the days creep by we’re definitely going to be feeling the anxiety – which is only natural I suppose, considering we’re going to be launched out of a plane at 10,000 feet.”
