A STAGE version of Joan Aitken’s classic children’s novel The Wolves of Wiloughby Chase will be performed at Colwall Village Hall.
The production, from February 22 to 24, is being presented by the Young Colwall Players and the Colwall Players.
With severe winters in mainland Europe and England being under snow, wolves migrate through the Channel Tunnel from Calais to Dover.
The story centres on two brave tenacious girls as they fight against ferocious wolves, snowy wastelands and their evil guardian Miss Slighcarp.
Wolves are roaming Britain but cousins Bonnie and Sylvia and their friend Simon the Goose-boy must face more than that, including unforgettable characters and mysterious scheming.
Performances, suitable for those aged six and over, start at 7pm and there is a Saturday matinee at 2pm. Details from John Goodwin on 01684 540300.
More children are being sought for future productions. Email Claire Farley at [email protected], or go along to the Young Players’ sessions at Colwall Village Hall ever Thursday, 6pm to 7.30pm.
