Just a week to go to the tractor show at Malvern's Three Counties Showground

Malvern Editorial 16th Feb, 2018   0

THE THREE Counties Showground in Malvern is gearing up for the famous Spring Tractor World Show 2018, writes Tom Banner.

The biggest and longest-running show of its kind gets underway next Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, when hundreds of tractors and displays of farming equipment and miniature railways head to the venue.

There will also be a huge vintage auction sale, hosted by H.J Pugh & Sons on the Saturday.

Show organiser Mark Woodward said the event was becoming more and more popular year-on-year.

“The 2017 attendance was the biggest to date and 2018 could well be higher.

“With hundreds of tractors on display, plus over 2,000 lots in the auction, there is plenty for everyone.

“We know what the weather can be like, so 90 per cent of the show is under cover with heated halls, a huge marquee and plenty of refreshments to keep everyone energised.”

New for 2018 is a celebration of 175 years of Case, McCormick and IH tractors and machinery.

Also returning is the Spring Classic Commercial and Van Show on both days, with Sunday seeing the bonus Classic Truck Drive-in and Van Display taking centre stage.

Bargain hunters will also be interested in the vintage sort-out and ‘agrijumble’ spares day.

Advance online day ticket prices for the event are £10.50 or £12.50 on the gate. Weekend tickets are £15 in advance (£20 on the gate) and weekend camping tickets (three nights, two adults) are £55 (£65 on the gate). Under-15s go free and dogs on leads are more than welcome.
