UNBEATEN Sam O’Neill was just one run short of claiming a century in Kempsey’s convincing 112-run victory over Wormelow in Worcestershire County League Division Two.
O’Neill smashed 99 off 103 balls while Joshua Jones (78 not out) also got the scoreboard ticking over nicely as Kempsey notched up a daunting 294-3 from their 50 overs.
Adam Baker then took 5-48 with the ball as Kempsey hustled out Wormelow for 182 in the 39th over.
Findlay Williams (40) top scored for the hosts.
Kempsey entertain Old Vigornians on Saturday.
