THE FIRST Malvern Wells Scout Troop and Phoenix Explorer Scout Unit are raising funds to attend the International Jamborette in Holland next year.
The groups are aiming to raise more than £7,000 to enable any members to attend the event in July regardless of financial circumstances.
There will be more than 2,000 scouts at the Jamborette which offers an opportunity to expand horizons, have adventures and make new friends.
So far the Malvern Wells Scout Troop has packed bags at Morrison’s, undertook a sponsored Walk the Malverns and ran a bingo night to raise much-needed funds.
They are now hosting a barn dance at Birstmorton Court on Saturday, November 3 from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.
Live band Stone the Crows will be performing on the night.
Tickets cost £10 for an adult and £7 for a child.
A family ticket (for two adults and up to three children) costs £33.
