Photographers urged to get creative as part of Malvern's Enviro Week

Malvern Editorial 16th Sep, 2019   0

AMATEUR photographers have been challenged to capture the beauty of the Malvern Hills in this year’s Enviro Photo Competition.

Malvern Hills District Council is urging snappers to get creative and capture the scenic landscape, the rich heritage and the stunning wildlife.

The ten best photographers chosen will have their work featured in an exhibition at the Great Malvern Priory which will run for three weeks later this year.

The winners will also receive a framed print once the competition has concluded.

The competition is open now and will run through the council’s second annual Enviro week which runs from October 14 to October 20.

The closing date for entries is November 4.

Coun John Raine said: “The Enviro Photo Competition is a great way to highlight the beauty of our district and to celebrate the wonderful place we are fortunate to call home.”

The contest is part of a wider campaign to raise awareness of local environmental issues and the Enviro Week will feature community litterpicks and a Greener Living Fair on October 19.

The competition is not open to professional photographers and images cannot be digitally enhanced.
