A WARNING has gone out to Malvern residents not to fall for a telephone scam.
There have been reports of a man cold-calling. claiming they are from Malvern Hills District Council and telling the resident they are due a council tax rebate of £80.80 or a similar amount.
He then asks for a date of birth and bank details.
People are warned, if they do receive one of these calls, not to disclose any personal information.
Any calls like this should be reported to police on 101 or Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
