CHILDREN can go on a free festive adventure trail to track down ten Christmas animals across Malvern Hills District from this Saturday, November 20.
The Santa Needs You Trail runs until December 31 along the high streets of Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Barnards Green, Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn.
Children will be able to discover the Christmas characters hidden in shop windows and get to see them burst into life with the help of 3D Augmented Reality.
Participants are tasked with visiting each animal and voting to help Santa decide who he will take up a space on his sleigh. The prize at the end of the challenge is an e-book which concludes the story.
Anyone with a smartphone can take part, the trail takes around 45 minutes to finish although it can be done in more than one visit and it is completely contactless using QR codes.
The trail aims to help families go out and explore their local area, get some exercise and have some fun. Children can also take selfies or even record movies with the animals.
Coun Daniel Walton, Malvern Hills District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism, said: “This is a great interactive trail for everyone to enjoy and a good opportunity to get around our wonderful towns and local businesses.
“We hope families and children will get involved in this fun and engaging Christmas challenge.”
