WITH THE weather seemingly getting colder by the day, it is quite fitting that photographer Tarquin Shaw-Young has captured these breath-taking ice clouds.

The ice clouds piercing a cloud portal were seen by Tarquin over British camp last week.

Ice clouds – also called cirrus clouds – are not often seen here and form when drops of water collide with ice crystals.

A somewhat more warming image taken by Tarquin this week, shows the bright orange honey fungi against the backdrop of Malvern Priory (below).
