The uplifting route to Christmas: Handel's Messiah at Worcester Cathedral

Malvern Editorial 7th Dec, 2021   0

HANDEL’S stunning work Messiah will be performed in the glorious surroundings of Worcester Cathedral this coming Saturday, December 11.

Featuring internationally acclaimed soloists Brittany King – soprano – Kate Symonds-Joy – mezzo soprano – Daniel Joy – tenor – and James Birchall – bass baritone – together with the 150 voices of Worcester Festival Choral Society it promises to be a truly uplifting way to welcome in the Christmas season.

Bursting with glorious arias and well-known choruses such as the Hallelujah Chorus and For Unto Us a Child is Born, Messiah is perhaps the best loved of all the great choral works.

Conducted by Samuel Hudson and accompanied by the superb Meridian Sinfonia Orchestra, the concert will be enhanced by the magnificent surroundings of Worcester Cathedral.
