Patrols stepped up to combat anti-social mini-motorbike riders endangering lives in Malvern

Malvern Editorial 17th Jun, 2022   0

MALVERN Police have stepped up patrols in areas of the town where there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour.

Officers have received numerous reports of nuisance vehicles being ridden in areas, including Ramsons Close, Maybank, North End Lane and Tomato Land Fields.

Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers have worked with Platform Housing in a bid to address the issues.

The police have urged people to be aware that vehicles, such as off-road bikes and motorised scooters are not legally registered to be ridden on the road, nor on fields and in other public places.

Officers said lots of people walked their dogs in the area and young families also enjoyed the fields.

Anyone found riding vehicles which would endanger the safety of those would be dealt with accordingly.

The police have urged anyone who sees mini motorbikes and other vehicles being ridden anti-socially to call them as soon as possible on 101 so they can catch them at the scene.
