A GROUP of runners from Malvern Buzzards running club took part in a charity relay race, raising £330 for Mayor of Malvern’s chosen charity, ‘Guide Dogs for the Blind’.

Nine teams of four racers – 36 in total – began the course at Rosebank Gardens and raced around the 2.3km loop.

The brown team of Linda Blake, Andy Kenchington, Tim Alford and Leonardo Morabito emerged victorious after a great day.

The mayor played a key role in the event, starting the race and also handing out the prizes to the winning team.

Malvern Buzzards’ captain Sarah Cuddy said: “The race was tough but the atmosphere and support was fantastic.

“Really great turnout from all the Buzzards and lovely to see the Mayor and the guide dogs enjoying the event too.”
