Annual charity concert set to arrive back in Malvern this Christmas

Malvern Editorial 24th Oct, 2022   0

THE annual Malvern charity concert Saturnalia will be taking place for the first time since Covid at Elmslie House on Wednesday, December 21.

Gracing the stage to raise money for The Malvern Foodbank, there will be performances by Journey Man, a folk and rock band, and Bard and Boogie, a poetry duo.

The event usually takes place on the shortest day of the year – the Winter Solstice – and commemorates the Roman winter festival, which was called Saturnalia.

Everyone – singers, musicians and performance poets alike – will be performing entirely free, while Anna Taylor will again be providing the use of Elmslie House at no charge – so every penny of the £5 entry fee will go to the Malvern Food Bank, as it has in previous years.

Doors open at 7.30pm and booking is not required for the event.
