MALVERN was transformed into a winter wonderland with its Christmas Light Switch-On.
On Saturday, November 26, a magical lantern parade filled the streets at 5.40pm before making its way up to Belle Vue Island for 6pm.
When the parade arrived, it kickstarted the big switch on by Mark James – one of the stars from this year’s Malvern Theatres pantomime – along with Mayor Nick Houghton and Father Christmas.
Sana and his Grotto, storytelling, dance workshops, and musical performances happened throughout the day, including special visits from a polar bear and Peeler the police dog.
This was the first time Malvern has been able to hold a full Christmas event since the start of the pandemic.
