Man in his 50s dies after Upton-upon-Severn crash

A MAN in his 50s has died after a crash in Upton-upon-Severn this morning (Tuesday, January 31).

The collision happened around 7.05am on the B4211 at Newbridge Green.

The red Seat Ibiza travelling towards Longden left the carriageway and crashed.

Two ambulances, one paramedic officer and a BASICS doctor were sent to the scene.




A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said on arrival medics found the man was in a critical condition.

“He received advanced life support on scene before being conveyed on blue lights to Worcestershire Royal for further treatment.”


Despite the best effort of medics, the man later died of his injuries in hospital.

West Mercia Police are investigating the collision and have urged witnesses or anyone with information or dash-cam footage to call PC Daniel Harper on 07814 056162 or email him at [email protected].
