OVER 40 businesses have signed up to a new ‘shop watch’ scheme in Malvern allowing swift communication between business owners and the local police.
The West Mercia Police Shop Watch Scheme has launched in the Malvern Link and Malvern Retail Park shopping areas giving business owners direct communication routes to the Malvern Link and Dyson policing team.
The scheme, which will also send relevant alerts to businesses, will allow police to engage closely with the Malvern community through direct messaging.
PCSO Lydia Truman & PCSO Collette Carpenter have been busy this week talking with shop keepers in the area about the benefits of the scheme.
The enrolling shops will display a West Mercia Police Shop Watch sticker and external signage will be visible in both the Malvern Link and Malvern Retail Park areas.
