Poundstretcher on Roman Way, Malvern is due to close on August 2.
No formal announcement has been made but staff at the store have confirmed the closure to the Observer.
Poundstretcher has refused to provide a statement or comment on reasons for the closure and the outcome for staff as a result.
One resident taking to Facebook to discuss the closure said: “That’s a shame I liked this shop.”
Another said: “Commiserations to the staff but no loss there! Hopefully it will be replaced by a better shop!”
