MALVERN’S mayor took the opportunity to engage with residents regarding the town councils efforts to better engage with communities during his latest care home visit.
Mayor of Malvern, Councillor Clive Hooper welcomed the invitation to meet with residents and staff at the Windsor Court Care Home in Landsdowne Crescent and share tea-time refreshments with them.
Coun Hooper said “Whilst I was at Windsor Court, I was questioned about the work of the Town Council and how its duties and responsibilities related to the district and county councils.
“In outlining those, I did take the opportunity to refer to the Town Council’s consultation exercise about better community engagement which had just been launched, and the Council’s wish to know what people thought.”
The mayor felt his discussions had demonstrated the need for closer working relationships with community groups and he valued the feedback he received.

He added: “When speaking to residents, I was impressed with how much everyone liked the home and the care and attention that they received from the staff. I had a delightful time visiting.”
