MALVERN police have been engaging with the community as volunteers take on the opportunity to help their local policing teams as part of the community StreetWatch scheme.
Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team can be seen in the above photo out with volunteers in the Brook Farm Drive area.
The new volunteers to the StreetWatch scheme work closely with residents and the local community and offer a presence in local neighbourhoods.
The volunteers will go through an induction period where they will receive formal training and high vis jackets, as well as lamp post, window and wheelie bin stickers which can they display within their community.
Launched earlier this year, Streetwatch is a community led watch scheme which allows local people to make a difference to where they live without being given police powers.
StreetWatch has greatly benefited recently, after 33 new volunteers signed up to be a part of the scheme.
