THE Elgar Ensemble – a new group – is making its debut in Malvern, writes Tanya Hewitt.
The ensemble will play its first concert at the Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 16.
The show will feature works from Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Frank Bridge.
The Elgar Ensemble is a group of young musicians who celebrate British music and support the overlooked 19th and 20th century performers.
Inspired by the work of Worcester composer Edward Elgar, the group regularly gives recitals across Worcestershire and in London.
Tickets, which include light refreshments, cost £15 for adults and are free for under 11s – available on the door or by calling 07961 053860, online at ticketsource.co.uk/elgarensemble or by emailling [email protected] in advance.
