MEMBERS OF the local policing team have delivered a couple of ‘mini police officer’ road signs to a Malvern school in a bid to improve road safety for pupils leaving school.
PCSO’s Bullock and Tudge from Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team dropped off the signs to Great Malvern Primary School – funded by the regions Police and Crime Commissioner – ahead of Road Safety Week (November 19-25).
PCC John Campion initially funded a collection of the signs in 2019, with officers from safer neighbourhood teams dishing them out across the West Mercia Policing region in a bid to reduce harm on the roads.
The signs will be focused around schools which are suffering with speeding and parking problems in Worcestershire and surrounding regions under West Mercia’s policing powers.
