Multiple sheep left with injuries after dog attacks on the Malvern Hills

Malvern Editorial 28th Sep, 2023   0

MULTIPLE sheep have been attacked by dogs on the Malvern Hills causing the trust to urge dog walkers to keep their pets on leads.

Malvern Hills Trust found two sheep with bite injuries on the hills in separate incidents.

Both sheep were placed in the care of the grazier and are expected to make a full recovery.

The Malvern Hills are registered as common land meaning animals can be grazing anywhere.

The trust has said dog walkers should be prepared to meet livestock anywhere at any time and if they cannot be certain their dog will return when called, whatever the circumstances, they should be kept on a lead.

Dog walkers can receive information on the locations of livestock on the Malvern Hills and Commons to help them plan their journeys and keep livestock safe.
