TENBURY Wells is at risk of flooding due to rising water levels along the River Teme caused by heavy rainfall.
River levels are rising at the Bransford river gauge due to bad weather leaving roads and farmland at risk of flooding overnight on Monday, December 4 into Tuesday, December 5.
Flooding is expected to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Teme from Ludlow to Bransford. Locations including Tenbury Wells could be affected.
As further rainfall is forecast over the next few days, the Environment Agency is closely monitoring the situation and intends to provide an update by 10am on Tuesday, December 5.
The Environment Agency have warned residents to avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and to avoid contact with floodwater.
