A LARGE quantity of illegal vapes and tobacco were seized during a re-visit to a shop in Malvern Link today (Monday, December 11).
Members of Malvern police joined Worcestershire Trading Standards a canine team to attend the shop again following a previous visit.
Pictured above is members of Malvern police with the goods seized. The business in question will now face prosecution from Trading Standards which can result in heavy fines and other sanctions.
Recently, Worcestershire County Councillors voted unanimously to support the Local Government Association’s view for single use vapes to be banned at its November Full Council meeting.
The LGA said it is crucial the ban comes into effect rapidly to reduce the risk of the products flooding into the UK, following a proposed ban in France by December this year and in the EU by 2026.
