A NEW ‘pay what you can’ concert is promising to bring laughs, beautiful harmonies and fun to Malvern later in January.
The four singer strong Pocket Choral Society, led by Oliver Carpenter, will bring their a cappella show to St James Church, Welland, Malvern on January 20 from 7pm.
The band hails from the mythical village of Pocket and travels the UK singing their own songs and new arrangements of well known numbers, whilst inviting visitors to pay based on how much fun the performance is.
Attendees can expect original songs alongside renditions of Lennon & McCartney, Flanders & Swann and Tom Waits.
A spokesperson said: “It’s a ‘pay what you can performance’ which is unusual but works for us. People come along, see how much fun they have and pay us accordingly.”
