Warning to anti-social off-road bike riders in Malvern that 'they will be tagged'

MOTORBIKES being ridden anti-socially is making lives a misery again in Malvern.

Officers from Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) made the declaration, adding they have spoken to who they believe are the main offenders. They were tracked down thanks to addresses provided by the public and previous intelligence gathered.

Police say the likely offenders and their parents should all now be aware of the stance the officers will take on this behaviour.

Last year, Malvern Police announced they would now be using smart-tag spray. All neighbourhood officers are carrying Smart-tag, which when sprayed on motorcycles or persons, will forensically mark the items or persons and is extremely hard to wash off (even after going through a washing machine several times).

It can assist in police identifying and dealing with these offenders, who have an impact on the quality of life of the residents around the Charles Way, Ramsons Close and May Bank area of Malvern.

Officers urged anyone who witnessed any further issues to contact them on 101, including any times of day that this is happening, so they could target the area at those specific times.
