ALEX Bell scored either side of half time as Malvern Town claimed a 2-0 home win against struggling Shaftesbury.
Bell opened the scoring on 13 minutes before doubling the home side’s lead nine minutes after half time at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
The result means Malvern sit 14th in the Southern League Division One South table.
Bell broke the deadlock early in the first half when he fired a half-volley into the net after Shaftesbury goalkeeper Shane Murphy failed to hold Sam Clark’s square ball across the box.
And Bell sealed the points for the Hillsiders on 54 minutes as he whipped a shot into the top right corner from Clark’s cross following a rapid counter attack.
Malvern are next in action against Yate Town on Tuesday, October 22 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
