Worcestershire Libraries providing warm space this winter

LIBRARIES across Worcestershire are providing a free, warm, and welcoming space as winter sets in.

All libraries across the county are members of the Warm Welcome Network, offering people a quiet place to read, study or relax, an opportunity to meet new people, or want support with digital skills, learning and job seeking.

There will be a range of free services, access to valuable information and events throughout the colder months.

Reading groups, language cafes and bounce and rhyme sessions are a few examples of activities taking place over winter.

For those seeking work or technology help, libraries also offer Job Clubs, Job Fairs, digital support sessions and help setting up a new business.

Councillor Karen May, cabinet member for communities at Worcestershire County Council, said: “As we head into the colder months, our libraries provide a great environment to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. Whether you are looking to relax with an enjoyable book, join in with a social activity, or connect with others, Worcestershire Libraries are here to support your wellbeing all winter long.”

Libraries offer free access to books, newspapers, computers, the internet, Wi-Fi, and study spaces for those in need of a quiet place to work or learn.
