PEOPLE who enjoy singing and performing in a group can head to a taster evening being held by the Malvern Male Voice Choir, which is looking for new members.
The session will take place at 7.30pm on Monday, January 27, at the Holy Trinity Church
The choir, established in 1922, has been welcoming new members across Malvern and the three counties for over a century.
It welcomes men of all ages and abilities, from non-singers to experienced vocalists.
Charles Pavey, the musical director, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome those who would like to give it a go with the knowledge that we have experienced people to lead them and pass down their experience.”
Choir members have expressed feeling more integrated into their local community while also entertaining a variety of audiences across the local community and forming new friendships.
The extensive repertoire suits all tastes from Bach to the Beatles and it continuously adds new classics.
Currently, the group is perfecting its version of ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ from Elton John, which featured in the ‘The Lion King’.
Rehearsals take place every Monday evening with a tea and cake interval.
The choir prides itself on helping people discover the joy of singing with others whilst learning new songs.
