A WOMAN has sustained potentially life-threatening and life-changing injures after a collision outside the Great Malvern Hotel.
The woman, a pedestrian in her 60s, sustained serious, potentially life-threatening and life changing head and leg injuries after a collision with a car.
The crash occurred, shortly after 7pm, at the traffic lights outside the Great Malvern Hotel on Graham Road yesterday evening (February 6). The woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
An 86-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and for being unfit to drive due to impairment. He has been released under investigation.
PC Rob Taylor said “Our thoughts are with the injured woman.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who saw a blue Renault, in the area before the incident.”

The force are particularly keen to speak to a driver of another vehicle who is believed to have used their horn, shortly before the collision occurred.
