Call for funding support in Malvern school's new educational play area plans

Malvern Editorial 26th Feb, 2025   0

A SCHOOL near Malvern has just one month left to reach their fundraising target to create a new educational play area and they need your help with funding.

Pendock Primary School is fundraising to improve the existing early years space because it is no longer weatherproof and needs structural improvement and extension to create a safe and inclusive space for children.

So far, £17,009 has been pledged through crowdfunding platform Spacehive, which helps communities raise funds to improve local areas and services.

Malvern Hills District Council has pledged £10,984 towards the project from their Connected Communities Fund.

In order to access the pledges the campaign must hit its fundraising target of £21,618 by 31 March, 2025.

As part of the scheme, the play area will receive a replacement roof structure and canopy and will be extended to offer a larger space for early years and key stage one pupils.

New storage, furniture, toys, books, outdoor play equipment and sensory items will be purchased and the space will redecorated with artwork.
