OFFICERS have been patrolling roads in Lower and Upper Broadheath after concerns from residents that motorists are breaking weight restrictions on certain roads.
This morning (Friday, February 28) patrols were carried out on Crown East Lane and surrounding roads where the weight restrictions are a maximum of 7.5 tonnes.
Breaches on the weight restricted road have been reported to West Mercia Police after residents became aware of HGV’s and other heavy motor vehicles using the lane.
The force confirmed that during patrols any vehicles identified and suspected to have breached the restrictions will be followed up with in due course.
A spokesperson for the Kempsey and Alfrick Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: “The team continue to engage with companies to prevent breaches from occurring. Our patrols also continue in the area.”
