MORE than £1200 was raised at Hanley Swan Primary School’s recent Summer Fayre.
The fayre took place on Friday, July 4 at Hanley Swan Primary School, and raised £1215 for the school.
The annual event, organised by the school’s Parent and Friends Association (PFA), aims to raise funds to go towards equipment and resources to help enhance the children’s education experience and school facilities.
A whole host of activities and games took place at the fayre, including stalls, face painting, BBQ, inflatables, animal corner, Severn Area Rescue Association, West Mercia Police, and Super Sports Team.
Traditional activities also took place, including hook a duck, splat the rat and teddy bear tombola.
Mr Pratley, Headteacher of Hanley Swan Primary School said: “We are really pleased with the success of the summer fayre.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed, the money raised will make a huge difference.
“I’d also like to say a big thank you to all the parents and volunteers who lent a hand on the day and helped the event run smoothly.”
