A NEW tap at North Malvern Clock Tower has been stolen within less than six months of it being installed.
The tap was installed in April to replace one no longer fit for purpose. However, on the morning of August 8, Malvern Town Council were alerted to the fact that the tap had gone missing overnight.
Although the water is not currently running, the removal of the tap means that the facility can’t be properly used by the public until a new tap is fixed into place, something the town council are looking into.
A spokesperson from Malvern Town Council said, “We are incredibly disappointed this has happened so soon after we had replaced the tap, preventing the wider community from enjoying the facility.
“We do hope that whoever did this returns the tap to be fixed.”
