AN AWARD winning 80 strong local choir is inviting new members to join their ranks as they prepare for a series of sell out Christmas Concerts at Stanbrook Abbey.
Powick Community Choir is keen to hear from singers who have previous experience of taking part in choral music.
There is no formal audition to go through.
The choir raises £1000s for local charities. In recent years it has performed in local cathedrals and St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
Musical Director, Tom Wells, said: “We are holding taster sessions for anyone interested to come and get a feel for what the choir does.
“This will be the 15th year the choir has performed a series of sell out Christmas Concerts in Stanbrook Abbey and it’s a wonderful concert venue.”
“I am keen to welcome men and women with previous choral experience to join the ranks of our sopranos, tenors and basses.”
The open sessions take place on Sunday 12th October at 4.15 pm and Thursday 16th October at 7.00 pm.
The venue is Powick Hall, just off the Worcester Road in the village.
