PLATFORM Housing Group’s specialist housing services in Malvern have received a vital boost, thanks to a new partnership with Travis Perkins Managed Services (TPMS).
The Community Legacy Fund at TPMS has pledged £20,000 per year for the next five years to contribute to the operational costs of The Foyer and Somers Park Avenue.
These services provide supported accommodation for young people, empowering them to develop life skills, gain independence and move on into secure futures.
Nikki Knight, head of specialist housing at Platform Housing Group said: “On behalf of everyone at Platform and particularly our Young People’s Services team, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Travis Perkins for this incredible support.
“Their contribution will make a huge difference, enabling us to continue offering vital services that help young people in our community grow, learn and thrive. We are delighted to welcome Travis Perkins as a partner in this work and look forward to sharing the progress and outcomes their generosity will help us achieve.”
The TPMS Social Value Fund is designed to create lasting impact in local communities. In addition to financial aid, the fund has delivered donated materials, unlocked training opportunities and volunteer hours across hundreds of projects nationwide.
Ben Clifford, senior account manager (south) at Travis Perkins Managed Services said: “We are really excited and proud to support The Foyer and Somers Park Avenue through our Social Value Fund. Visiting Platform’s services in Malvern and seeing the difference being made will be both inspiring and humbling.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities in collaboration with our customers. We look forward to working with Platform on future social value projects.”
The Foyer and Somers Park Avenue are part of Platform’s Young People’s Services, which provide accommodation, tailored support and life skills training for young people facing homelessness or other challenges.
Over its long history of providing young people with housing and support, the service has supported hundreds of young people to stabilise their lives, continue education or training and move on successfully into independent living.
