Her passion for gemmology led her to gain her Diamond Diploma (DGA) with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, followed by a First-Class Honours degree in Gemmology and Jewellery. She later achieved formal registration as a Member of the National Association of Jewellers’ Institute of Registered Valuers (MIRV) — a mark of excellence held by fewer than 200 valuers nationwide.
In addition, Ilona is a Certified Cultured Pearl Specialist and a GIA Certified Applied Jewellery Professional (AJP), combining scientific knowledge with a practical understanding of the jewellery trade. She also serves as a consultant for Jewellery Advisory Services, where she contributes her expertise to expert witness cases and complex research assignments.
