MALVERN Town crashed out of the Worcestershire Senior Cup following a heavy 7-2 home defeat against Pershore Town.
The Hillsiders led at the break courtesy of Levi Francis’s goal only for the Plums to run riot in the second half at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
Pershore debutant Prince Henry scored four goals to inspire the Hellenic League Premier Division side to victory as Piers Walton scored Malvern’s other goal.
Malvern play one level above Pershore and named a strong side for the visit of their near neighbours for the second round tie.
The Hillsiders broke the deadlock on 18 minutes when Francis’s effort bounced in front of Pershore goalkeeper Joe Cunneen and looped over the Plums stopper and into the net.
Malvern’s implosion began on 55 minutes as Henry scored from the penalty spot after Josh Bishop fouled Yuri Quintas in the box.
And the Plums completed the turnaround just two minutes later when Calum Harper hammered a half-volley in off the underside of the crossbar.
The visitors extended their lead on the hour mark as Henry curled a shot into the left corner of the goal from the right side of the penalty area to leave Bishop with no chance.
Pershore struck three times in the space of five minutes to stun Lee Hooper’s side.
Malvern responded on 73 minutes when Walton produced a clinical finish from the edge of the penalty area.
However, the Plums restored their two-goal cushion moments later as Quintas cut in from the left and squared the ball to Henry who duly completed his hat-trick on debut.
Henry scored his fourth goal of the game on 80 minutes as he turned home a ball from the right via the aid of a deflection.
And Pershore made it six in the final minute as the Plums broke from a Malvern corner and Jack Griffiths Perry produced a calm finish beyond Bishop.
Pershore further humiliated Malvern in injury time as Quintas pounced on a sequence of errors at the back to finish into an empty net on a night to forget for the home side.
Malvern are next in action against Portishead Town on Saturday, November 15 with kick-off at 3.03pm at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
