Top performance from Malvern Male Voice Choir for Armistice Day

A PACKED Church of the Ascension bore witness to a  moving evening as Malvern Male Voice Choir presented their Armistice commemoration, Magic Dawn and Sunset Bright.

Conducted by Charles Pavey, the choir delivered a programme that was both reflective and uplifting, weaving together songs, poetry and readings that paid heartfelt tribute to those affected by war and conflict.

The atmosphere was one of quiet reverence, the church filled to capacity with audience members of all ages, many visibly moved by the music and words.

A particular highlight of the evening was the screening of The Scottish Soldier – a poignant short film created by local filmmaker and choir member Tarquin Shaw-Young.

The film, paired with the choir’s live performance, added an emotional depth that clearly touched everyone present.

The event, led by licensed Lay Minister Eileen Tomlin, included a short service and an act of remembrance, creating a shared sense of reflection and unity.

Proceeds from the retiring collection are to be shared between The Royal British Legion, Malvern Link with Cowleigh Parish, and Malvern Male Voice Choir.
