HANLEY Swan Primary School has been selected to take part in a local community fundraising scheme.
The Community Savings Scheme, from Warners Supermarket Upton upon Severn, takes place every six months and supports two local groups or charities.
The scheme allows shoppers to support local causes by placing tokens in a collection box, tokens are earnt for each ten-pound spent in-store, at the end of the period tokens are converted into money for the charity.
The Parent, Friends Association (PFA) at Hanley Swan Primary School, is a charity run entirely by volunteers, the PFA works closely with the school to raise funds for school trips, resources and activities, helping to enrich learning for all children.
The school is currently fundraising to develop a new outdoor space where children can sit, relax, and socialise, to help nurture pupils’ mental health and wellbeing.
Mr Bundy, Head Teacher at Hanley Swan Primary School said: “We are incredibly grateful to Warners Supermarket Upton for selecting us for their Community Token Scheme.
“Every token placed will make a real difference to our children, and we would love to encourage parents, carers and local shoppers to support us when visiting the store.”

The latest round of the scheme started on January 19 2026 and will run until July 2026.
