A MAN arrested in Malvern on Monday on suspicion of drug-dealing was also held on drug-driving charges after testing positive at the roadside, writes Ellie Taylor.
PC Wayne Waldron and PCSO Ashley Smith saw a man in a vehicle interacting suspiciously on Poundbank Road with another man on a bike.
The driver attempted to evade police but was arrested in Malvern Link and then tested positive on a drug swipe for cocaine.
Following the driver’s arrest, the vehicle was searched and police seized a quantity of cocaine and cannabis.
They then also arrested the driver on suspicion of being in possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
Officers have confirmed enquiries into the incident were ongoing.
Anyone convicted of drug-driving can face a minimum year-long driving ban, an unlimited fine, up to six months in prison and a criminal record.
