ONE OF Worcestershire’s best-loved summer events is set to celebrate a major milestone as the 60th Welland Steam and Country Rally returns to Woodside Farm, Welland, from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26.

Organised by the Ross-on-Wye Steam Engine Society, the rally promises three days of entertainment, historic machinery and family attractions in the picturesque setting beneath the Malvern Hills.

Visitors can expect a wide range of steam engines, vintage vehicles and country attractions, making the event a popular day out for enthusiasts and families alike.

A highlight of this year’s anniversary celebrations will be the evening entertainment programme.

Singer Chesney Hawkeswill perform on Friday, July 24, while Spencer James, renowned for his work with The Searchers, will headline Saturday, July 25 with The Searchers Experience Show.

Saturday evening will also feature a spectacular fireworks display, scheduled to take place between 10.10pm and 10.30pm.

The rally will be held at Woodside Farm, Welland, near Malvern (WR13 6NG). Organisers have advised that all vehicles should enter the site via Gate M, just off the B4208.

Admission tickets will be available on the gate, with both cash and card payments accepted.

As the event marks its 60th anniversary, organisers are expecting another strong turnout for what has become one of the region’s most established steam and country shows, offering something for all ages while celebrating Britain’s rich engineering and rural heritage.
