THIS DRAMATIC image captured by a Malvern photographer shows the ‘electric storm’ which struck the town last weekend.
Tarquin Shaw-Young took the picture on Saturday (August 22) afternoon when he was walking up Wilton Road.
Mr Shaw-Young said he was on his way back from Scotland when he saw the weather conditions take a dramatic turn for the worse.
“The temperature was steadily getting hotter and then within an hour there was a feeling of electricity in the air and these huge rumbles of thunder,” he said.
“I had just climbed Ben Nevis on a very clear day and then I climbed the Malvern Hills which is not so steep and the clouds descended. It is always dramatic when it happens.”
