A TALENTED Malvern sculptor is to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice at a one-off charity fund-raising exhibition next weekend.

Taking place on Saturday, February 13 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, Malvern’s very own Caro Burberry will be one of many professional artists showcasing and selling their work at Worcester Guild Hall.

The exhibition will also include artwork created by children in arts and crafts sessions from each of the three Acorns hospices.

Items can be purchased on the day or a reserve can be placed for an auction on Saturday, March 12 which will be overseen by auction house Biddle & Webb with all money going to Acorns.

Mandie Fitzgerald, event organiser and from Acorns’ fund-raising team, said: “We are very grateful to the individuals and organisations who have kindly donated works to this exhibition.

“Whether you are into art or not, this will be a great chance to come and enjoy a glass of bubbly, some impressive artwork and at the same time help support Acorns and the families who rely on our work.”

Acorns is one of three charities which have been supported this year by Mayor of Worcester Councillor Roger Knight and the Civic Office has given Acorns permission to hold the exhibition at the Guild Hall.

Mandie added: “To be able to continue to provide vital specialist palliative care, we need the public’s help to raise nearly £9 million every year so we’re very grateful for the Mayor’s support and for being able to take advantage of the Guildhall’s impressive setting.”

Complimentary refreshments and a raffle are also included on the day.
