Masked raiders strike at Upton supermarket

SUPERMARKET staff were threatened and made to lie on the floor when masked thieves raided the store.

Police are investigating a robbery at the Co-op store in High Street, Upton-upon-Severn last Wednesday (January 27).

At about 11.15pm four men forced their way into the store through a back door and threatened four members of staff.

The offenders stole cash and cigarettes from the store and mobile phones from the members of staff before leaving the building in a white van.




Police have described the culprits as black or Asian men, aged 21 to 27 years old and wearing balaclavas.

One was 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing baggy jeans and a blue T-shirt with fish scale pattern and a black hoodie with the hood up.


No-one was injured during the incident and no weapons were seen.
