UPDATE: Owners come forward for lost Spaniel

Malvern Editorial 27th Nov, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

OWNERS have come forward for their lost Springer Spaniel within hours of a succesful public appeal from police.

The dog, now known to be called Roo, was found about 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday) by officers at the side of the B4197 on the Great Witley end of Martley Hillside.

He had suffered a deep cut which led to suspicions he may have got caught on barbed wire rather than been involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Appeals to trace the owners were launched by police via @MalvernCops on Twitter and in the last hour they have come forward after seeing a post on Facebook.

Roo is currently having an operation on a severed tendon but is expected to make a full recovery.
