A MALVERN man who committed numerous thefts throughout January and February has been ordered to carry out 320 hours unpaid work.

Kevin Young, 53, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to eight thefts from shops.

He was brought before the courts by Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

Young must carry out the work within the next 12 months and he has been ordered to pay £188 compensation.

PC Slaymaker and PC Olczak said they, along with PCSO Bullock and PCSO Tudge, would continue to show a highly visible presence and work closely with retailers to deal with offenders promptly.
