TOP dog trainer Kelly Rimmer is so good with animals she’s even managed to train a chicken to run an agility course.

She bases her technique on ‘positive reinforcement training methods’ winning no end of plaudits along the way.

“The chicken was trained with the help of some corn and meal worms when it did something really good,” said the Droitwich mum.

She’s worked for Guide Dogs for 11 years, moving up to specialise in assessing dog behaviour and temperaments and then applying training regimes to suit each individual dog.

In between she’s been blazing a trail running agility classes at Vale Dog Training at Pinvin near Pershore.

Now, following the birth of her son, but missing her four legged friends, she’s branching out with PetSteps, walking dogs and doing puppy visits.

“It’s aimed at people who are working during the day or who can’t get out but who’s dog needs some exercise,” said Kelly.
