Back to the 60s for new musical

Malvern Editorial 12th Nov, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

MALVERN will be hosting a stunning new musical set against the backdrop of London’s West End in the 60s.

With iconic clubs, trendy fashions and eccentric characters, it was a time full of hope and freedom when the world was changing and anything seemed possible.

Directed by Bob Tomson and designed by Matthew Wright, Carnaby Street tells the story of Jude, a working class boy from Liverpool who is armed with nothing but his guitar and dreams of fame and fortune.

The production, which will run from November 18 to 23 at 7.30pm with Wednesday and Saturday matinées at 2.30pm, includes over 30 classic hits from the time including Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Twist and Shout, Mustang Sally and Shout.

Visit www.malvern-theatres.co.uk or call 01684 892277 for tickets costing between £20.16 and £34.72.
